As always, let’s look towards the Constitution for guidance and limitations on government. If you direct your attention the the “Contract Clause” of the Constitution, Article 1, Section 10, Clause 1, you’ll see that the federal government has ZERO valid authority to interfere with private contracts. So when a borrower goes to a bank seeking a loan, a loan contract is created if the bank approves the borrower. Both parties are aware of the conditions of the contract and the signature of the borrower seals the deal. A contract is born.
Now let’s look further at the legal responsibilities of the bank. There are strict laws and regulation that protects peoples’ money when it is deposited into a bank or Credit Union. There are legal standards in place that attempt to assure the account holder will not lose their money or be plundered. The assumption is that if a individual deposits their wealth into a bank that the bank will in turn use that money responsibly as it’s loaned out to people and businesses in their community.
Now enter big government…..
Democrat progressives (the communist branch of the Party) are clearly trying to buy votes by moving this mountain of contracted debt onto the backs of working Americans and off the ledgers of all these SJW’s with shiny new degrees in Gender Studies, assuming they even graduated. Not only is government interference in these valid contracts, but it makes absolutely no sense from a economic standpoint either. Of course the avoidable financial losses will rain down upon businesses and taxpayers in the form of inflated fees and interest rates.

So when you’ve identified a Public Servant that endorses student loan debt cancellation, you’ve identified someone that is unfit to serve! This is a clear violation of the Contract Clause of the Constitution and postulating that this will fuel economic recovery is a blatant LIE! Canceling, by fiat, the legally acquired debt of some is stealing from the rest of us.
Contact your public serpents at the links below and tell them to behave. Remind them of their oath and Article 1, Section 10, Clause 1. Tell them to be listening for crickets on April 15th at the IRS/Post Office should they be so blasen as to issue such a diktat!
